1878-80, in Stockholm beneath the Royal Palace, on April 24, 1880.

Louis Palander (1842-1920), lieutenant in the Swedish Navy, commander of the Vega during her voyage along the North-East Passage and round Eurasia, was ennobled with the name Palander af Vega.
