Helsinki Spring Sale

Bukowskis presents Helsinki Spring Sale – Finland's leading auction for art, jewelry, silver, and antiques. Among the many highlights of the auction are two masterpieces by Helene Schjerfbeck, several unique glass paintings by Tove Jansson, and a collection of exclusive jewelry and silver items.

The Glass paintings were created by Tove Jansson in 1941 for the iconic Tullbommen restaurant on Mannerheimintie in Helsinki. The paintings were thought to have been lost during the restaurant's extensive renovation in the 1980s, but it was recently discovered that the then janitor, in a true act of cultural preservation, saved them at the last moment. The paintings have since been passed down within the family and are now being sold at auction for the first time.

Online auction: May 17–29
