Exhibitions and sales were managed by Gunnar Hjortén at Galleri God Konst in Gothenburg, and thanks to their success, the family was able to build a house for Inge Schiöler on Syd-Koster in 1956, a house that was to play a major role in Schiöler's life.
Based on this house and its surroundings, Inge Schiöler developed his further artistic work. He found his motifs in nature and the surrounding landscape. The glittering sea bays, the floral splendour of the garden, the salt-sprayed rocks constantly provided him with new ideas. His creativity is intense, unplanned and spontaneous.
This theme auction presents, among other works, beloved landscapes from Koster, together with a self-portrait in which the artist is depicted painting, as well as motifs of the rooftops of Stockholm.
