Leopold och Mikael Fare F496

Welcome to a themed auction featuring art and sculptures by father and son, Leopold and Mikael Fare. Leopold Fare (1926-1996), born in Stockholm, was a Swedish visual artist whose colorful landscapes are well-represented in the auction. He was educated at the Otte Skölds målarskola, Académie Libre under Pierre Olofson and Lennart Rodhe, as well as Konstakademien under Ragnar Sandberg. Leopold is represented in institutions such as the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.

Mikael Fare (born 1951) is a prominent sculptor who primarily works with wood but also bronze and plaster. He is known for his minimalist works with predominantly figurative characteristics. Mikael has completed several public commissions, including the creation of the August statue in 1989, awarded to the winners of the August Prize.

Explore and bid on paintings and sculptures that reflect two generations' passion for the art world. All the works in the themed auction come from a single collection. The collector had a personal relationship with Leopold and acquired most of the pieces directly from the artist.
