Seated in lotus position on a separately carved lotus throne on top of a rock formation before a tall mandorla carved with scrolling clouds and a lotus seed capsule at the center. The Buddha is wearing a long flowing draped robe opening at the chest. The face with a meditative expression with downcast eyes, slender lips and his left hand loosely clenched in his lap. The rectangular base with inscription. Height 51.5 cm.

Wear. Damages. Additions. Right hand missing. Loss of paint and lacquer. The mandorla is likely from the period but not original.
