The artist Max Papart was born in Marseilles in 1911. He was a versatile master who applied several different techniques, with the intaglio method known as Carborundum being especially characteristic of him. Stylistically, the distinctive features of Cubism are strongly visible in his work. The collection includes works from three decades and mainly consists of graphic art.
