Roj Friberg – Prints

Bukowskis presents a collection of 12 prints by the artist Roj Friberg (1934–2016). Friberg’s visual world is characterized by a unique combination of realism and dreamlike landscapes, where the suggestive meets the political.
He experimented with unconventional techniques and tools, ranging from dental drills to specially prepared canvases, to create imagery that closely approaches the aesthetic of both photography and film.

Among his most renowned works are politically charged motifs such as "Juntan" from the 1970s. Throughout his career, Friberg moved freely between different forms of expression, including stage design and book illustration.

Roj Friberg is represented in numerous major museums in Sweden, as well as in several institutions across the Nordic region.

This auction offers an opportunity to acquire graphic works by an artist whose imagery continues to challenge, move, and inspire.
