Ett särskilt kapitel i hans konst utgör de skulpturer han gjorde av stenbitar, krukskärvor och porslinskross, allt sammanfogat med cement. Hans iakttagelseförmåga firar triumfer när han, i dessa motspänstiga material, fångar karaktären hos både djur och människor. På detta sätt utförde han alla "Commedia dell'artes" rollfigurer hos vilka han, med den största precision, prickar in deras fåfänga, servilitet, svartsjuka och kättja. Olle Nymans storhet som konstnär bestod i att han, i alla lägen, nådde liv och natur utan att göra avkall på den disciplin som han ansåg att det konstnärliga arbetet avkrävde honom.
