Printmaking is a fascinating field that has captivated artists and collectors around the world throughout art history. Limited editions offer artists an almost endless range of technical possibilities, while making works accessible to a wider audience. For those looking to acquire high-quality art, prints and limited-edition multiples can be an excellent way to begin a collection.
Bukowskis is pleased to present a selection of works produced in collaboration with ed. art, which since its founding in 2014 has become Sweden’s leading gallery specialising in contemporary printmaking. The selection brings together works by promising emerging artists alongside some of the country’s leading established names. The focus is on traditional printmaking techniques such as lithography, etching and woodcut, while also embracing more contemporary approaches.
“We work directly with a broad range of living artists, both those who work with printmaking techniques themselves and those who collaborate with a printer to translate their artistic expression into print,” says Elisabeth Blennow Calälv, founder and owner.
The themed auction offers the opportunity to acquire works by some of the most established artists of our time, as well as by younger artists whose careers are on the rise. The selection includes both sold-out editions and unique prints. In these cases, there is no ‘second chance’, as there would normally be with editions still available on the primary market.
