José León Cerrillo, born in Mexico in 1976, has constructivism and the Bauhaus aesthetic - including graphic art – as his point of departure. He lives and works in Mexico City. Through a variety of media, from printed posters to sculptural installations, Cerrillo explores graphic ideologies and linguistic systems, to challenge the modernist legacy.
