Claire Barclay, born in 1968, is based in Glasgow and has previously had solo exhibitions at Tate Modern in London and Moderna Museet Stockholm. Her surreally meticulous and scrupulously executed objects and installations explore materiality and juxtapose the synthetic with the organic and the abstract with the physical.
