KG Nilson föddes i Falun 1942, utbildade sig på Valand i Göteborg och undervisade 1972 – 1983 i färglära på Konstfack. Hans måleri och grafik (han var professor i grafik på Konstakademin till 1993) kännetecknas av en mycket precist utförd lekfullhet. Klara färger, geometriska grundformer och en sträng penselföring förvandlas till lustiga hus, segel eller som här: organiska figurer som bildar ett mystiskt meddelande – eller en hemlig rebus.
