Auktionens bord är ett utmärkt exempel på hur Georg Haupt var skicklig på att följa med tidens smak och stil för mer släta ytor mot 1780-talets mitt. Vid första anblick kan bordet synas enkelt men detaljerna, så som benens bågformade fanér, röjer mästarens hand liksom den perfekta proportioneringen och säkra skuggningen. Därtill det ovanligt rika användandet av dyrbara träslag och noggrant utvalda fanérblad signalerade för samtiden samma exklusivitet och status som Haupts tidigare intarsiadekorerade möbler.
