"De första Snurrorna från 1960-talet är gjorda i papp och trä. Vilket gör de sköra. Under 1980-talet hade möjligheter att skära i trä med hjälp av laserteknik kommit. Ultvedt kunde använda sig av en tunn board i teak som var stadigare och hållbarare än papp. Det öppnade möjlighet att utveckla de utskurna mönstren till snurror." Fredrik Ultvedt, 2014.
