Rune Rydelius, born on February 21, 1946, in Hofors, is a Swedish sculptor. Growing up in Hofors, Rune Rydelius spent some years in the 1960s as a newspaper cartoonist at Arbetarbladet in Gävle. He received his artistic education at Konstfack in Stockholm between 1965 and 1970, and at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm between 1970 and 1975. In 1980, he was awarded the Moderna Museet's Friends Sculpture Prize - K. A. Lind's Honorary Award, and since 2003, he has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts.
