India Mahdavi has always admired the architect and designer Josef Frank, the fact that Svenskt Tenn was founded by a woman, Estrid Ericson, and that the company is now owned by the Kjell and Märta Beijer Foundation. She has used Josef Frank's textiles and patterns in many projects over the years, aiming to achieve and recreate the joy that permeates his work. In 2022, she curated the exhibition Frankly Yours – India Mahdavi at the store on Strandvägen 5 and simultaneously designed a series of objects for Svenskt Tenn.
India Mahdavi is an Iranian-born architect and designer. Mahdavi has been active in France for many years and has had her own design-studio in Paris for over two decades. She has a self-designed production of furniture and interior details and has collaborated with other designers aswell.
