Veneered with mahogany. Fittings and mouldings of gilded brass. Superstructure with shutters covered with the spines of Voltaire's collected works and two drawers. Foldable writing surface, beneath which are eight drawers, four-sided tapering legs. Length 104, width 49.5 (74.5), height of the top 82, total height 111.5 cm.
