In the exhibition catalogue from Liljevalchs konsthall's "Tredje utställningen" in 1916, the auction's portrait of a woman called "Ingrid" can be found. The woman can be identified as the painter Ingrid Jövinger (1894-1976), born Malmeström. Ingrid studied at the Slöjdföreningens skola from 1911 to 1914, and then continued her studies at Konsthögskolan from 1914 to 1919. A watercolour, likely a study for the oil painting, is dated Gothenburg 1914. Einar Forseth had also studied at Slöjdföreningens skola as well as at Valand, and had probably acquainted his artist friend Ingrid in Gothenburg.
