In the work "2000," Robert Indiana draws on the composition from "LOVE," which has become synonymous with his artistic career and has taken a rightful place in art history with its timeless message of love. The iconic composition with the letters L.O.V.E. was born from a commission for a postcard for the Museum of Modern Art, New York, in 1965. With LOVE, Indiana managed to capture the vital cultural currents of the time, which reached a climax in 1967 with the 'Summer of Love.'
