Åke E Lindman is one of Sweden’s most established architectural photographers, known for his precise and atmospheric images of architecture, interiors and urban landscapes. With a keen eye for light, proportions and materiality, he has documented both contemporary architecture and historic buildings in Sweden and internationally over several decades.
In Lindman’s photography, the building takes centre stage. Through carefully composed images, he highlights the ideas and details of the architecture, as well as its relationship to its surroundings. Light is used not merely to describe the form of a room or façade, but to create a particular atmosphere and clarify the architect’s intentions.
