More about Lee Jaffe
Lee Jaffe is an American artist, photographer, filmmaker, musician and producer. He grew up and was educated in the Bronx and New York. He spent a number of his early years in Brazil, where he began working with film. Back in New York, he met Bob Marley and went with him to Jamaica. Jaffe worked with Marley and The Wailers, played in the band and produced their records. Upon returning to New York, Lee Jaffe began working as an artist and has become particularly known for his “large-scale”, multimedia historical assemblages, in which he explores various aspects of American history. Lee Jaffe continues to be active in New York. Among other institutions, he has exhibited at Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
