Huge (Daniel Fahlström) began painting graffiti in Sweden around 1987. In the late 1990s, he expanded into custom painting and has since continued to explore and develop the spray can as his primary artistic tool.
Driven by the ambition to create a distinctive approach to mural painting, Huge developed his signature photorealistic style inspired by helium balloons. Traditional graffiti letters were transformed into shiny, inflated balloon forms - a playful fusion of classic graffiti and illusionistic painting that has become his unmistakable trademark.
Today, Huge’s balloon-inspired world takes shape in a variety of forms. Alongside large-scale murals and works on canvas, he also creates three-dimensional balloon sculptures in different materials at his studio in southern Stockholm.
