Bowl, porcelain, "Musselmalet helblonde", Denmark, 20th century

Round form with pierced sides and rim. Three sculpted snails with pale pink bodies at the sides. Ribbed relief and decoration in underglaze blue with scales. Four-part foot. Gilded rim and decoration on the snails. Marked "1/1043" and green stamp "Denmark". Height 4.5 cm. Originally referred to as "buketholder" designed by J. Jacobsen in November 1886 and January 1899.
