Double-barrelled, gold inlays on the barrel with the manufacturer's name etc., engraved hunting motifs with dog and bird on both side plates and on the lock plates, also lock plates with the manufacturer's name, stock in walnut with checkering, length 116 cm.

Wear due to age and use. Left barell slightly pushed in at the mouth.

Enligt gåvobrevet, som i släktens hävder hör samman med geväret, och är skrivet av tidigare statsfrun på Kungliga Slottet i Stockholm Augusta Mörner, f Virgin, daterat 24 december 1847, så är geväret en gåva från en engelsk amiral till kronprins Carl Johan. Därefter till Gustaf Fredrik Mörner, därefter gåva och arv i familjen.
"Denna Bössa är gifven av Engelske Amiralen Samarin(?) [Saumarez?] år 1810 till dåvarande Kronprinsen Carl Johan och år 1813 av honom förärad till General Lieutenant(?) Gustaf Fredrik Mörner öfverlämnas till dess doter son Kammarherren hos H: M: Drottningen Baron Carl Gustaf Leijonhjelm af undertecknad; med förbehåll att sedan efter tillfalla den äldste af hans manlige descendenter. Medevi den 24. Dec: 1847.
