1 Browse through our range of categories and gain a quick overview of the items on offer and in demand. Once you have logged in you can easily access past auction results by searching our archives.

2 Take several photographs of the item. This will enable a fast initial appraisal. Signatures, maker’s marks, labels can all provide valuable information!

3 The more you know about the item the better. Do ask older relatives what they know. An item can suddenly gain a surprising value as the result of a good background story.

4 Bring out your tape measure - dimensions matter!

5 Broken does not always mean valueless! Give the item a chance.
