After a successful spring season facts speak for themselves, 161,3 million SEK in total sales at hammer sales, the highest quality international collections, the markets highest average prices and once again the highest number of lots sold for over 1 million SEK.

Online sales continue to attract more clients, leading to higher prices and the international availability generated a number of lots sold for over 1 million SEK also online. The much appreciated and discreet service Private Sales has during spring had a strong development and closed several fortunate sales of artworks and real estate.

Springs most prominent sales were two masterpieces by August Strindberg sold at Important Spring Sale. The most talked about, ”Inferno” was sold for 18 575 000 SEK and ”Ice boulders on the shore”, dated 1892 was sold for 11 392 500 SEK. A spectacular ending to the spring.

The season started very strongly with world class results for design and art at Modern Art + Design. A desk by Hjalmar Jackson was sold for sensational 857 500 SEK, a new Swedish record for the designer. International masters such as the Catalan artist Julio González offered one of the first lots sold for over 1 million SEK and Swedish Leander Engström shone bright next to the masters GAN and Otto G. Carlsund.

The Contemporary sale offered high class photography and a very talked about sculpture by Bjarne Melgaard, one of many lots sold for over 1 million SEK. Ola Billgrens ”Målning” was one of the sale's highlights and was sold for 1 515 650 SEK.

Bukowskis watch sale ”Important Timepieces” consisted of 158 objects that in total sold for 6,5 million SEK. After only two sales Bukowskis is proud to call its watch sales reigning in Scandinavia. The standout piece at the sale was a Patek Philippe, sold for 686 000 SEK.

The Art & Antiques Helsinki sale was given great attention when it was presented online for Bukowskis clients world wide. The highlight Konstantin Makovskis ”Coquette” dated 1885 sold for 2 213 800 SEK, a remarkable result that shows that Bukowskis is where the clients are.
