Eric Grate and Eva Lange

Åke E:son Lindman is considered one of the world's leading photographer of architectural buildings. The many prestigious commissions extends all over the world and include innovative contemporary architecture as well as Renaissance palaces. His images are regularly published in the leading and most prominent international magazines and books. Åke E:son Lindman is also one of the few Swedish photographers who master the analogue technology and still experiments in the darkroom.

How did you experience the encounter with Eric Grate and Eva Lange’s sculptures?
To me it was a very dynamic meeting between two different expressions, which was further reinforced by the clothing of Totême presented in the same context.

Was there any work that appealed particularly to you in form or expression?
Perhaps it was Eva Lange's work in alabaster that appealed to me the most.

What was it that you wanted to capture when you directed the camera towards individual works in the exhibition?
I wanted to portray a selection of artworks preferably in relation to the light or any detail in the architecture of the room.

How was it to work with the almost non-existent light in the major exhibition environments?
I always work with the existing light so it is not unfamiliar to me. The digital technology of today also makes it technically not so difficult.

You were recently part of a large exhibition at the Zorn Museum in Mora. Where can we see you next time?
Perhaps parts of this exhibition (experiment) will appear in Stockholm during the furniture fair. We will see. Otherwise you can wait for this summer and see it at Höganäs Museum in Skåne.
