Tourmalines in this intense colour and size are unusual, and it is no coincidence that Graff, who is world-famous for working only with the very best colour stones, has chosen to use this gemstone in his magnificent cocktail ring. The term cocktail ring is said to originate from the radical women who used large eye-catching rings when they drank cocktails with illegal spirits during the prohibition era in the USA - no matter what, this ring by Graff is certainly eye-catching and very suitable to wear at a cocktail party!
Cartier ring in gold, enamel, diamonds, sapphires and emeralds
Since the 19th century, the company Cartier has created innovative and handcrafted jewelry and this wonderful modern ring is no exception - with seeming ease, they have created two bees of gold that climb over a berry of gemstones in something which is closest to being considered a hybrid between a sculpture and a piece of jewelry.
In the 1980s, one of the Bulgari brothers decided to combine his interests in jewelry and antique coins and created the legendary "Monete" jewelry. These became an instant success and stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly and Jane Fonda wore these pieces of jewelry, which today are considered jewelry classics.
