Bukowskis – where the collections are sold: Hildur Hansson

Hildur Hansson Collection

A passion for Svenskt Tenn

Hildur Hansson was born in Hishult in Halland and eventually married Erik Hansson (b. 1906). Her husband, unfortunately, passed away during the Finnish Winter War of 1939-1940, leaving Hildur alone with her son Ingemar. The family lived in Östermalm in Stockholm. Ingemar was the only child of Hildur and Erik.

The simplicity of the room – the richness of details

Estrid Ericson

Hildur Hansson and Estrid Ericson (1894-1981) became good friends early on, so it became natural for Hildur to start collecting items from Svenskt Tenn. Her interest was kept alive over the years, and new items were added to the carefully furnished home, many of them somewhat unusual pewter items and furniture from the Svenskt Tenn company. Her son Ingemar also continued to decorate his home in Skåne with items from Svenskt Tenn.
