Successful results for vintage collectibles at Important Timepieces

High demand for vintage- and unique collectors' watches at Bukowskis' Important Timepieces auction.

With high pre-auction interest from Swedish and international bidders, the auction successfully attracted buyers at the highest level. A rarity and highlight of the auction was the Heuer "Volvo" Carerra, sold at a final price of 206 250 SEK.

- Bukowskis Important Timepieces, once again, offered qualitative and unique collector's watches with exciting provenance. Heuer "Volvo" Carerra, which became one of the highlights of the evening and is a fine example of the type of object that our customers demand, says Carl Palmegren, Head Specialist Watches.

As anticipated, Rolex did well with high final prices on several items, including the Sea-Dweller "Great White Mark III" and the Submariner "Red Mark V". Gold watches, both newer and older models in honest condition, also sold for high final prices and the auction's top listing was the auctions highly anticipated "Nautilus Diamond Sigma Dial" in gold from Patek Philippe (final price 700 000 SEK).

Other strong results were IWC Yacht Club II "Jumbo", Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 "Tiffany Dial", and Patek Philippe Calatrava "Sector Dial". Several ladies' watches also exceeded expectations with high final prices. A standout among all the precious items was a seemingly unassuming Seamaster from Omega, starting at 10 000 SEK, which ended up with a final price of 75 000 SEK.

- "The auction attracted bidders from Sweden as well as internationally, and tonight's auction shows once again that watches of the highest quality never go out of style," says Simon Naeslund, Watch Specialist.
