100 Years of Svenskt Tenn - Special Jubilee Section at Modern Art + Design

We are now accepting consignments for our Svenskt Tenn Centenary Section

Bukowskis is delighted to introduce a special section in celebration of Svenskt Tenn's centennial for the upcoming live auction Modern Art + Design. Rarities include a specially commissioned cabinet from the 1940s stands, adorned with hand-colored engravings depicting fauna and flora from Friedrich Justin Bertuch's "Bilderbuch für Kinder." Additionally, we also find a number of early and unique pewter objects, including a very rare bowl engraved with decorations by Tyra Lundgren, created for Svenskt Tenn in 1932.

Bukowskis have in recent years experienced an ever growing interest and demand for objects from Svenskt Tenn, with record breaking sales for several unique cabinets by the influential designer Josef Frank. Bukowskis recurring theme auction "Josef Frank with Friends" also boost successful results and recently achieved a "white glove", meaning that all items were sold. Now, there's a unique opportunity to consign objects from Svenskt Tenn to a celebratory special section at Modern Art + Design.
