Anni & Kari Korkman's Selected Favourites

Yrjö Kukkapuro Three '100' spotlights
Estimate: 1 800 - 2 000 EUR

"Haimi will go down in history as one of the boldest and finest Finnish design brands. It shone brightly for only a brief moment, yet I would rank Haimi above all others. It’s not visible in the photos, but chief designer Yrjö Kukkapuro’s three spotlights (model 100) are surprisingly large in real life. Even though lighting technology has advanced tremendously, Kukkapuro’s work still captures attention."

Kaj Franck a decanter, "The Bells of Kremlin"
Estimate: 3 500 – 4 000 EUR

"Kaj Franck’s Kremlin Bells. A self-evident choice hardly needs justification, but in my own modest collection there’s a clear gap when it comes to Franck. I already know exactly where I would place these bells."

Maija Heikinheimo, wooden stool 'Camping chair A'
Utropspris: 600 - 800 EUR

"We don’t really have the space – or the need – for more furniture, but Maija Heikinheimo’s Telttatuoli A, which appeared in the auction, caught my attention. The manufacturer, the legendary Noormarkun Käsityöt, gives it extra appeal. I’m sure we could still find a little corner for this perfect chair."

Airi Snellman-Hänninen, a Finnish ryijy
Estimate: 600 – 800 EUR

"At our holiday home, we’ve gathered quite a few beautiful old ryas over the years. They keep the warmth in and create a cozy atmosphere. My choice is Pirta by Airi Snellman-Hänninen. The prices of vintage textiles have remained surprisingly modest, so now is still a good time to collect them."

Björn Weckström, armband, "Lapplands stenar"
Estimate: 2 700 EUR

"Björn Weckström has created a truly unique design language for his works. His style is instantly recognizable – and impossible to imitate. Many might regret not acquiring his sculptural pieces ten years ago, but it’s not too late yet.."
