“White Glove” for Lisa Larson – strong interest in Swedish design heritage at Bukowskis
During the month of July, Bukowskis presented the themed auction Lisa Larson – a carefully curated collection where the majority of the items belonged to a private collector. The result was a so-called “White Glove,” with all items sold – a testament to the strong interest in Swedish design on today’s market.
Among the auction highlights was the sought-after sculpture "Tonåring" (Teenager), originally created for Galleri Scandia, which sold for 32 000 SEK, as well as the work "Samhällsdebatten" (The Social Debate), which hammered for 25 000 SEK. Bukowskis notes a clear and growing demand for classic Swedish design – both in Sweden and internationally, not least in Japan.
