Below you can read more about how the valuation process works and how we can assist you.
Our Valuation Options
Bukowskis is the leading auction house in the Nordics for high-quality art, works of art and design – and we support you throughout the entire sales process.
Discover the value of your quality item before selling by choosing the valuation option that suits you best. You may visit one of our offices, contact our specialists directly, or complete an online valuation by describing your item and uploading images. A specialist will provide you with an assessment as soon as possible.
For a smooth sales process, we offer home valuations, where our specialists visit you to value your quality items, wherever you are in the country. Our home valuers can assess individual items or entire estates, which is particularly useful for sales, probate, inheritance, or insurance purposes.
Once your item has been valued, we help you choose the most suitable sales channel. We sell your item through our quality online auctions or at our live auctions.
When you decide to sell, we prepare a consignment agreement including full cataloguing, photography, a starting bid and an accept price. The starting bid is the market-adjusted estimate of your item ahead of the auction and acts as a guide for buyers. The accept price is the minimum price that the seller is willing to accept.
Once the auction is over, we process the payment from the buyer, and we will transfer the funds to your bank account. This usually takes 30 days after a live auction and up to 35 days after an online auction.
Should an item, against expectations, remain unsold, there are no charges for the valuation, cataloguing, photography, or related services.
