Her most famous bag is the Chanel 2.55, which was named after the date of its launch in February 1955. Twelve years after Coco Chanel’s death Karl Lagerfeld took over the fashion house and put his own stamp on it, without necessarily taking anything away from the aspects that were classic Chanel. With Lagerfeld at the helm, the fashion house got a new lease of life.
