A bronze cat statuette, Egypt, possibly 22-30 Dynasty, 945-332 BC.

Statue postured in classic seated form with erected ears. One ear with a earring. The long tail runs along the right side. Sacred to the godess Bastet of Bubastis. Height 26 cm. Mounted on a wooden stand.

Wear with corrosion, flakings and burstings. Minor hole. Later stand.
