"Triangle Skid (the Assassination of President Kennedy)" beskriver mordet på president John F. Kennedy i Dallas 1963. Till vänster i bilden syns bildäckens avtryck, det gröna spåret symboliserar kortegens start, det blå då presidenten skjuts och det lila när han slutligen avlider. I mitten av verket ser vi ett mynt med Kennedys porträtt. Längst till höger har Rosenquist placerat gevärets kikarsikte. Lee Harvey Oswald greps snabbt för mordet men mördades i sin tur av Jack Ruby bara två dagar senare.
