More information

The long text on the left side says 'For the wall of the blessed home of Pastor Lunren in February of the year Xinhai. Friend and student Xiang Ziheng, painted and give it at Yiling'. The text on the lower part of the right side writes 'Written with the respect by the follower Yu Shouzhen'.

This was a present given to a pastor at a church in Yiling in the Hubei province in the year of Xinhai, 1911. A very scholarly painting, and a documentation of the history of christianity in China.
