Photographer Michael Dweck grew up night fishing along the Montauk coast. Captivated by the glistening fish under the water surface he had visions of mermaids. Exploring the mythical tale, he started capturing female figures suspended in weightlessness in the ”Mermaids” projects in 2007, photographing local friends engulfed in the dark waters.
