A large embroidered silk blanket, Qing dynasty (1664-1912).

Hued threads of various shades on a ivory ground, densely embroidered to the center with a large roundel of flowers surrounded by rows of classic lotus flowers and leafy scrolls, bordered with phoenix birds an ruyi scrolls, set within a large rectangular reserve defined with thin embroidered bands, and filled with lotus, birds and scrolling tendril. Lined with silk red/orange back. Measurement 239x287 cm. Large parts of silk sewn together.

Damages, tears, minor repairs, insignificant stains.

The blanket comes from an Estate in Skåne, the future owner will be able to recieve information about the provenance.
