Signed Rauschenberg and dated -86 and numbered 4/25. Also stamped R.R and dated '86 and numbered 4/25 on the silver plate. Multiple. Aluminum, screen print, silver plate (sterling) and two lapis lazuli stones. Height 53, width 55.5 and depth 55.5 cm.

Titeln "Araucan Mastaba, Roci Chile" syftar till Araucanindianerna, en ursprungsbefolkning i södra Chile vars rötter går tillbaka till Inkaindianerna. Rauschenberg har här tagit fasta på att de arbetade mycket med silver. Mastaba är en fornegyptisk gravöverbyggnad av massivt tegel eller sten med inåtlutande sidor, rektangulärt grundplan och platt topp.
