A CARPET, an antique Mahal, a so called Ziegler, ca 488-491 x 378,5-391,5 cm.
A terracotta melange ground with a large polychrome trellis pattern with stylized flower and palmette festoons. A wide dark blue melange main border with large palmette, leaf and flower vines.
The brown coloured yarns are partly corroded. Abrashes. Some partly hard wear, slightly dirty, stains, repairs, reknotted areas, minor painted areas. The sides and ends have fold wear, one end is possibly later.
