Nils Gunnar Birger Kanevad, born 6 May 1930 in Horn in Östergötland, died 2 November 2019 in Vreta Kloster, was a Swedish artisan. As an artist, Kanevad was self-taught. He worked mainly in jigsawed wood and produced and sold everything on his own at the "Träsnideriet" with its shop in Old Linköping, Sweden.
Gunnar Kanevad was born in Horn, Östergötland. He was a self-taught woodcarver who had his workshop in Old Linköping. He worked in various types of wood and produced both functional objects and decorative items, bowls, butterflies, puzzles that resemble castles. Kanevad also completed a number of public decorations. He is represented in the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm and H.M.K.'s collections.
