More information

Niklas Runesson (b. 1985) is a self-taught artisan / designer who grew up in Småland, Sweden. With a legacy of three generations of woodworkers / engineers who were active from 1945-2000 in the manufacture of turned toy parts, Runesson takes the legacy into the present. Runesson creates his objects freely without sketching or drawing models. He usually has working measurements for chairs, etc. in his head and he does the rest according to feeling. Much of Runesson's inspiration comes from nature but also fragments of the unknown / fantasy. A mantra that often comes back when he wants to explain the feeling "friendly creature", a recurring theme.
