A Baltic 18th century silver tureen with lid. Mark of Daniel Lundgren (Reval 1771-83).

Inside gilt. Underneath weak engraving: Wigt (weight) 221 and part of initials BH... Height 31 cm, length 38 cm, width 22 cm. Weight 2650 grams.

Provenance

Barbara Helena Staël von Holstein (1768-1826), Mehntach Estate, Estonia.
Count Carl Trolle-Bonde (1907-1969) Trolleholm, bought by him in Stockholm cirka 1960, before that reportedly bought in the Soviet Union.
Bought in the 1990s in Stockholm, Sweden.
Swedish private collection.

The two readable owner's initials, B H, agree with the initials on the terrine's pendang in the royal collections,
B H S v H, for Barbara Helena Staël von Holstein (1768-1826) married in 1784 to the Estonian baron Eugen von Rosen (1757-1834).
