An antique Bidjar kilim, Western Persia (Iran), c. 230 x 142 cm.

Around 1890. A red melange ground with a polychrome medallion and corner ornaments. Several narrow borders.

Provenance

This kilim was reportedly purchased in Persia in the 1930's by the Swedish ambassador at the time.
