More information

The work "Vicent (European Bison)" is one of Arvid Knöppel's early works from the 1930s. This composition was originally part of the sculpture group "Two Bison," which exists in monumental format in Nacka just outside Stockholm. The artwork was a donation to Nacka Municipality from builder Anders Diös and director Bo Ax:son Johnsson and was inaugurated on the artist's 75th birthday in 1967.

The bison can each be found separately at the Nationalmuseum, Stockhom and in the collection at Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde in Stockholm.
