Mycock's monogram (decorator), stylised "Fleur de Lys", also stamped 2472 ENGLAND. Height 27 cm.

Walter Crane was a British artist and an important innovator in the field of children's book illustration. He was part of the British Arts and Crafts movement. Crane created a multitude of paintings, illustrations, children's books, tiles, wallpapers, and other innovative crafts. Crane was also involved in the international socialist movement.
