Fanny Garde received her education at the "Tegneskolen for Kvinder" in Copenhagen, which she completed in 1884. She began her employment at Bing & Grøndahl's Porcelain Factory in 1886. She was one of the first female employees at the porcelain painting department and also one of the first women to design her own models at Bing & Grøndahl. She is likely best known for the "Måsen" service, which she designed in the 1890s. Fanny Garde later went on to teach at the "Tegneskolen for Kvinder."
