More information

Sivert Lindblom debuted alongside Ulrik Samuelsson, and both would become central figures in Swedish art life over the coming decades. The bronze sculptures Lindblom created around 1963, influenced by classical Greece and names like Nike, convey a completely different impression than what the names might suggest.

Here, like Germaine Richier and De Kooning at the same time, he has executed wild abstractions where one can still capture the underlying figure that has been abstracted. The works from this period can be found, among other places, at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and are among the artist's most significant creations.
